Glacier National Park - This is Big Sky country after all. This is an image from our hike around Swiftcurrent Lake with the sun right above Mt Grinnell. One of the aspect of shooting in HDR is that you can shoot both the disk of the sun and still get the detail of the surrounding scenery. The star effect comes from utilizing a small aperture setting.
Glacier National Park - One of the advantages of working for the National Park Service is that sometimes the accommodations, although Spartan at best, can have fantastic views. In Yosemite National Park, for example, they have tents in Yosemite Valley. As much as I love Yosemite, this cottage has a view that rocks!
