Rusty

Jerome, Arizona - This old car is sitting outside of the hotel in Jerome. It has not gone anywhere in a while. To bad. It would be a great prize for a collector to restore.

Asylum

Jerome, Arizona - Here is the hunted hotel in Jerome. It is actually the former hospital for the mine. Apparetnly it is hunted. I have some friends who spent the night there. They did not notice anything unusual, but sometimes guest have spotted a lady in the halway that just was not all there.

Fire Station

Jerome, Arizona - Even a ghost town like Jerome needs some fire protection. I guess the ghosts get a little mischievous from time to time.

Goldmine

Jerome, Arizona - The Gold King Ghost Mine and Ghost Town was my primary target for this little expedition. It was mostly junk yard than old west ghost town. I did find some interesting photo opportunities though.

Old is New

Jerome, Arizona - Here a vintage care gets new life as a sign for a business in Jerome Arizona.

Rust bug

Jerome, Arizona - Well, not exactly the Love Bug. It looks more like the Rust Bug. In any case, a lot of antique cars on the roads of Jerome. Both rusting out and well preserve.

Jerome

Jerome, Arizona - Here is a small sampling of Jerome. It is literally on the side of a mountain. This provides for some great views of the edge of the red rock area that Sedona sits in.

Ruins

Jerome, Arizona - This is the entrance to the La Victoria Glass Blowing Studio. The artist is very friendly and has plenty of seating so you an comfortably watch him work his magic.

Jerome, Arizona - Well, this says it all. This is the wild west after all.

Junk

Jerome, Arizona - This scene is outside of one of the stores in Jerome, AZ. My wife and I did a little exploring in the old Ghost town one weekend. A lot of artist call this place home.

Desert Road

Jerome, Arizona - The open road of the desert. I cannot wait to get another Jeep so I can enjoy this place more. Driving through the desert with no roof and an oldies channel playing on the radio. Perfect.

Jerome, Arizona - If it a car or is it a truck? I have no idea. It just looked at me and said Hi.

Open

Jerome, Arizona - Well, it may be open 24 hours for a ghost town. Not much life left in this old building. The scary thing is, it is built on stilts.

Red Rocks

Jerome, Arizona - You can see out into the desert while we are walking back to Jerome. This is the middle desert. We are about a mile above see level. Very colorful.

Old tools

Jerome, Arizona - A lot of old tools lying around collecting rust.

Jerome, Arizona - I guess after retirement, this old Studebaker has a new purpose in life. To bad the rest rooms were not in as good of condition as the Studebaker.
