Austin, Texas - This is actually a garden off to the right of the Alamo in Austin, TX. When I think of the Alamo, this was not what comes to mind. I'm thinking more dusty western. It is sometimes nice to be wrong.
Theodore Roosevelt National Park - One neat thing that my wife and I could see from this vantage point was a herd of bison miles away. Living in Indiana at the time, we were not used to being able to see animals 10 miles off in the distance. You have to admit, it was a beautiful day.
Acadia National Park - This was my primary photographic target on this weekend trip to Acadia National Park in Maine. This is the Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Sitting out here on the pink granite rocks of this May weekend was well worth the four hour drive from Portland. The only sounds that I could hear was the crashing of the waves, interrupted by the occasional seagull.
